    Fall Family Friendly Activities Near Toledo + Trick or Treating times!

    There are many family friendly fall activities near Toledo. From pumpkin and apple picking, to also enjoying fresh cider and donuts, the Toledo area has many ways to enjoy fall. Below are just a few places to go to have some fun this fall. Read to the end to see a list of Toledo area trick or treating times.

    Family Friendly Places to Visit this Fall

    MacQueen’s Apple Barn and Cider Mill is a wonderful place to go for family friendly fall fun near Toledo. You can pick your own apples and pumpkins and then enjoy fresh pressed cider and donuts from the Farm Market. Throughout October MacQueen’s Apple Barn and Cider Mill is open daily 9 am – 8 pm.

    Wheeler Farms’ annual Corn Maze is open now thru October 30 on Fridays from 5-10 pm, Saturdays from 12-10 pm, and Sundays from 12-6 pm. The corn maze, pictured below, spans sixteen acres with three different mazes and three different difficulty levels. The theme of the maze this year is “Be Kind.” Wheeler Farms recommends you check their Facebook page for more information and to ensure the maze is open. Heavy rains have recently caused the maze to be closed on occasion.

    Gust Brother’s Pumpkin Farm LLC “is a working farm that provides a real farm experience to all visitors. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a wholesome and fun family atmosphere. With so much to do and see, our farm is a perfect destination for a day trip and serves as a tourist attraction for anyone visiting the greater Toledo, Ohio area. We are confident you will have a family friendly and fun experience.” You can visit Gust Brother’s Pumpkin Farm daily from 9 am – 7 pm now through October 31. Not only does Gust Brother’s have a pumpkin farm for getting your perfect carving pumpkin, but they have farm animals as well. See pigs, chickens, sheep, goats, bunnies, kittens, and more. On weekends you can also enjoy a hayride!

    Toledo Zoo & Aquarium Offers Fall Fun

    The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has multiple fall events and trick or treating fun. First, on Friday, October 8, from 7-9 pm, the Zoo Brew is for adults aged 21 and over. The Zoo Brew will offer local and regional craft brews, as well as live entertainment. Second, on Friday, October 14 and 15, from 10 am – 3 pm the Little Boo provides a chance for early trick or treating throughout the zoo. In addition to trick or treating the zoo will have pumpkin carving demonstrations, puppet shows, and character photos. Have your little ones come dressed up and take a photo with Blippy or Poppy!

    Lastly, Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17, from 10 am – 4 pm the Pumpkin Path offer more fall fun for families. Children can trick or treat in the zoo and the event will also feature pumpkin carving demonstrations, galactic character photos, strolling magic, magic shows, TSA Glass City Steel Drums performance, and more. Event tickets are required for each of these fall events and trick or treating at the Zoo.

    Trick or Treat Early at Franklin Park Mall

    Franklin Park Mall will host Trick-or-Treat for Tots on Friday, October 22, from 12-2 pm. The event page on Facebook promises an exciting trick or treating opportunity with “Monsters, superheroes, princesses, kings and queens, ghosts and ghouls for property-wide trick-or-treating at participating retailers. A magic show, Halloween-themed photo ops and more! Plus, receive a free goodie bag when you check in at the Food Court! The event is for children 6 years old and younger and is free to attend. After trick-or-treating, take a seat in the Food Court to enjoy a magic show featuring Count Wakula. Two shows will take place at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.” Visit the event page for more information here.

    Fall Fun and Trunk or Treat in Sylvania & Maumee

    Sylvania’s 35th Annual Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 16, from 4-10 pm, and on Sunday, October 17, from 10 am – 4 pm. The festival’s parade takes place on Sunday, October 17 at 1 pm. The 2-day festival will have fall market vendors, trick or treating on Main Street, a pumpkin patch for children, live music, and food trucks.

    The Shops at Fallen Timbers will host a Fall Festival & Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 23, from 12-3 pm. This family friendly event offers trunk or treating, activities, games, and the chance to see cool vehicles! This fall event will be especially fun for any emergency vehicle and truck lovers! Maumee will have a fire truck as well as a police car. Additionally there will be a concrete mixer truck, semi-truck, Harley Davidson motorcycle, and more!
