Kids Run the Bases Every Sunday

Every Sunday kids 12 and under can imagine being a baseball player. At the conclusion of each Sunday home game kids can run the bases! During the 7th inning kids begin lining up near section 115. Immediately following the game kids are guided down the stairs at section 115 to the field. Little ones will enjoy running the bases their home team just finished playing on. Parents meet children in the stands near home plate following their run. This fun experience if free but can get a little busy. Be ready to keep up pace as you round the bases and finish strong with cheers across home plate.

Mud Hounds at the Mud Hens

Every Tuesday home game the Toledo Mud Hens will take the field as the Mud Hounds. Fans are invited to bring their hound companions to the game. The Mud Hens website says “Fetch a great time at Fifth Third Field by brining your dog to a Mud Hens game! The Mud Hens will take the field as the ‘Mud Hounds’ on all of our dog-friendly games throughout the 2022 season. The team will wear specialty ‘Mud Hounds’ jerseys and caps. During these special games we will have a seating section set up at the ballpark for fans to catch the action with their furry companions. 100% of dog ticket proceeds will benefit the Toledo Humane Society and Lucas County Canine Care & Control. Tickets are $13 for humans and $8 for dogs.”

Mud Hound days have special water stations, pools, and restroom areas for pooches. If you are bringing your fluffy companion, you must enter Fifth Third Field on St. Clair Street at the Center Field Gate. Make sure you bring a non-retractable lead that is six feet or shorter. Since Mud Hens games always attract large crowds and involve lots of noise, make sure your well behaved pup can handle all the extra excitement. If your dog’s temperament does not allow them to safely attend a Mud Hounds event, you can still come and enjoy the game and check out all the cute puppers.

Star Wars at the Mud Hens

Whether your force is strong with the light side or the dark side, you are sure to have a fun time at the Star Wars themed game. Fans are welcome to come dressed up in their Star Wars garb for this Mud Hens game on Saturday, May 28. Fifth Third field will have special lights, sounds, movie clips, and galactic fan games. Some Star Wars themed food and beverages will be available at concessions. Make sure to stroll throughout Fifth Third Stadium to try to catch a glimpse of, or maybe a photo with, your favorite Star Wars character! Details and tickets for this one day only event can be found here.

    Marvel Nights at Mud Hens

For two nights on June 24 and August 26 Marvel Comics is taking over Fifth Third Field. The Mud Hens Captain America jerseys will be worn and fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite Marvel Hero (or villain!). Photo opportunities will be available with Spider Man at the June 24 game, and with Black Panther at the August 26 game. It is suggested you arrive early to ensure you have enough time to get your photo with your Marvel hero. Bonus, BOTH games will feature live music at Hensville following the game!

    ZOOperstars and Fireworks

July 2nds game will be packed full of family fun for all ages. Zooperstars Shark McGwirer, Clammy Sosa, and Harry Canary will be getting in on goofy fun. This game will also have live music postgame in Hensville. On July 3, not only is this a Sunday game where kids run the bases, but there will be a post game fireworks show! What a great way to celebrate the 4th of July than with fireworks at the Mud Hens baseball game!

Muddy and Spike’s Inflatable Theme Park

An annual favorite night for Mud Hens fans are the Muddy and Spike’s Inflatable Theme Park days. The website says “Bouncing, jumping, laughing, playing! Bring the family out to Hensville Park before select weekend games as it turns into a gigantic playground! Make your way through the obstacle course, jump in the bounce house, play the inflatable games, or try your skills at the speed pitch. Muddy and Spike’s Inflatable Theme Park is fun for all ages.” Anyone with a ticket to the Mud Hens game can access the park on June 26, July 24, July 31, August 14, or August 28.

    Jeepfest

Jeep is perhaps the most iconic Toledo made product. Each year lovers of Jeeps celebrate their autos with Jeep Fest August 12-14 in downtown Toledo. Come out to enjoy all sorts of fun activities at Jeep Fest, then head to the Mud Hens games Friday and Saturday, August 12 and 13, to see their special fest jerseys and enjoy a postgame live concert in Hensville.
