Sylvania is a suburb of Toledo in Lucas County that is encompassed by Sylvania Township and is bordered to the north by the State of Michigan. The City of Sylvania says, “Sylvania has a lot to offer – excellent schools, terrific recreational programs, safe and attractive neighborhoods, dependable city services, convenient medical resources, and an active senior center.” The City of Sylvania covers 6.72 square miles and has a population of just over 19,000; while Sylvania Township spans 28.5 square miles with a total estimated population of 50,700.
